Wonderful Reading Light

A great light to read by. The only noticeable point of concern is the lack of consistency in the color temperature of the LEDs. Some are of a "hotter" color temperature than others but this difference is only noticed when looking directly at the LEDs themselves. There is no discernible mottling of color in the light shown onto surfaces - the light pattern is fairly even despite the LED temperature variation. No dimmer

Amazon's brief description of this lamp is correct. Lamps Plus is not. As I found it this lamp had a dimmer feature at one time. It no longer does. I called Lamps Plus customer service and was given the "apology" speech and told me they were in the process of updated their website specs. I was offered a dimmer switch at a discounted price. I ended up getting it for free.

Now about this lamp. It is very heavy and nice and classy to look at. The quality of the mission style lamp shows as I proudly display it in my home. The lowest lamp height measures 45.5 inches from the base to base of lamp glass. Uses four 60 watt bulbs (not included) which are too bright at times. A dimmer is a must for me. Paid $199.00 during the January sale. I would have given 5 stars if it came with a dimmer feature.More detail ...

Great style quality and price

What a deal on this lamp! Unbelievable how easy this was to put together. The lamp is a deep hammered bronze color has a substantial base that is no too big yet very sturdy. The lamp column was not some scrawny puny looking piece of metal and is 4" in circumference. Also has an attractive fluted design. At the top of the column are 2 hammered ball designs which really gives this lamp character. I especially love the shade. It puts out a nice sharp glow that is great for reading. You don't even need both lights on at the same time as it gives out an even distribution of light with just one bulb lit. The shade adds a slight contemporary look to what I would otherwise describe the lamp as being Arts and Crafts Stle with even a Mission look to it. It looks so nice together - not fussy! The lamp is just so gorgeous you will not be disappointed. So worth the price! I would expect to pay $300 for this lamp elsewhere.More detail ...

Nice lamp!

I just received my lamp and it's a great buy for the price! It has a wide heavy base and the antique brass finish is very pretty. The light adjusts easily which is just what I wanted and the on/off switch makes a nice satisfying "click". It seems well-made was very simple to assemble and it arrived on time and very well-packaged. All in all a good deal. Better than some more expensive lamps I saw in stores.More detail ...

The halogen bulb has two brightness settings-- the components are high quality and the fit & finish are very good. I was impressed how the lamp was packaged for shipping at the factory-everything was bubble wrapped or styrofoam protected inside a double box. Set up itself was simple. Very easily assembled and it stands out as a focal point wherever it is. It's dreamy- both modern and useful.

It's a lamp I'd recommend to everyone. As far as being eye candy It looks ultra-expensive and I recieve tons of compliments on it. Although I consider it an artpiece in itself it's not overwhelmingly artsy so there's virtually nowhere it would look out of place except maybe in a countryside themed home. The dimming feature is the greatest...you slide a bar at the base near where's the plugged in and although such halogen can be overwhelming you can find a range anywhere from major floodlight power to cozy intimacy.

Beautiful floor lamp. Not worth the high price.

I have to start by saying that I do really like the look and styling of this lamp. However there are a few critical flaws that make it way over-priced. It assembles easily and has a nice modern clean look. I ordered the WARM light but it is not warm (It looks like light in a hospital operating room. Maybe their idea of warm is not the same as mine!)and it is not powerful enough. I expected with the 4 not 5 options for lighting intensity (I guess the 5th intensity is 'off.') that it would be bright enough to light my bedroom. But even though the lights are LED they are not bright even at the highest setting. A lesser problem but still a flaw is that the connection for the plug is 3" up the leg. Why is the connection not on the base or better under the base? For such a modern lamp they could have put the connection in an out-of-the-way place instead of a very visible place. At the end of the day I will keep the lamp but I will not be ordering a 2nd one or a table-top one unless the price goes to about $80 which would be a fare price for this lamp.More detail ...

I bought the Modern Arc Style Steel Floor Lamp from Visiondecor. the lamp is beautiful and the custom service at Visiondecor is even better. When I called for a missing screw they sent one immediately. When I set up the lamp unfortunately the lamp was too big for my space. I recently purchased the Kenroy Home 307420RB Plateau Floor Lamp. It is one of the most beautiful lamps I've ever seen. Has a good weight to it and I think it will last for many many years. It seems a bit shorter than most floor lamps but it fits into my room perfectly.
